Quality Test Engineer I - ENTRY LEVEL

Position can work from the following locations in a Hybrid model which is 1 day per week:

• King of Prussia, PA
• Alpharetta, GA
• Boca Raton, FL

LexisNexis Quality Engineering is transforming into a Cloud-based DevOps oriented Automation centric organization. In order to deliver high quality software with speed to market in mind, we are looking for a knowledgeable, driven individual who will help us deliver world class products. This could include manual testing, working in technologies such as Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Continuous Integration, and a cloud-based environment with an understanding of automation scripting and big data quality measures and testing in day-to-day Quality Assurance processes. The candidate is responsible for data and software testing, interacting and collaboration with development and product in and Agile team based environment. Creating test plans, test cases and defect tracking will also be required in this position.

Technical Skills

* Knowledge/Experience doing hands on manual testing. Experience conducting UI, white box, black box, end to end, and integration testing. Knowledge or experience in testing a data warehouse environment a plus.

* Automation experience with BDD framework using Selenium and Java a plus

* Knowledge/Experience in Cloud-based environments

* Knowledge of CI systems, including GitLab, Cucumber, Karate, Gherkin, ElasticSearch, JIRA, and key programming languages and technologies, including Java, REST API, C#.NET Core

* Knowledge/Experience with Scrum/Kanban/SaFe Agile workflow methodologies

* Understanding of application servers, Web servers, and databases, including Jetty, Tomcat, MySQL, SQL or Oracle

* Knowledge using JIRA, Quality Center/ALM or Zephyr for test planning, execution, and defect tracking

* Strong knowledge of the entire Testing Life Cycle - Requirement gathering & analysis, planning, design, test plan creation and, test case writing, bug reporting and implementation.

* Solve technical challenges which will result in shortening test cycles, increase product speed to market and improve the test frameworks, tools and technologies used by the organization

Qualifications:
• 1+ years of QA Test Analyst experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
