Position Summary:

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic and talented Clinical Nutrition Team. This individual will provide care to both inpatients and to our Oncology Clinic patients. The individual will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health care team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence-based practices. This position involves assessing nutritional status, formulating and participating in implementation of nutrition care plans, including all aspects of nutrition support, counseling and education, as well as teaching and supervising dietetic interns and students.

Required Work Experience:

One year of experience preferred


Work requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition is required.


Requires registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Must be a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist within the State of Maryland or be eligible to apply for licensure prior to hire.

Required Work Experience:

Entry-level will be considered.

Work requires the analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.

Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations. Work requires the ability to counsel and educate patients. Work requires the ability to teach students.
