Work hours consist of 37.5 hours per week, including a 7.5 hour period between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00 pm on weekdays and weekends exclusive of a ½ hour or 1 hour lunch. These hours to be agreed upon between the supervisor and employee at the onset of employment.
Note: This position may require additional work on occasion with the employee having the option of working this time in addition to or in lieu of regular hours.
Summary:This role will support the continuous improvement of established courses/programs, as well as the implementation of new and emerging technologies in teaching and learning. The Instructional Designer will provide Instructional Design support, Learning Management System support, assistance in use of educational technology, and training to staff and faculty, both full and part time.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of faculty, students, or staff.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Other Skills and Abilities:Also required: ability to effectively communicate and foster a cooperative work environment; skill in the use of computers in a PC windows-based operating environment; knowledge of customer service standards and practices; ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty in area of expertise; and ability to train other individuals.
