Position Summary:

The position is responsible for the collection of proof of delivery/loading (POD/POL) documents for CMA CGM shipments booked as Carrier Haulage for analysis in determining if driver wait-time occurred. The position will focus on decreasing the number of Transport Order errors and CIRA tickets by identifying root cause, communicating errors with motor carrier and working with truck dispatch to correct in an effort to have motor carrier invoices match CMA system for swift payment to motor carrier. Identify any system errors that are creating the errors.

This position will be responsible to:

  • Email sorting of documents into its respective hub folder
  • Verification and data analyzation of the documents received from the motor carrier (appointment, arrival, and departure times) to determine if detention occurred
  • Calculate the appropriate detention cost to invoice Customer (s)
  • Calculate the proper detention cost based on the Motor Carrier's approved tariff
  • Invoices Customer(s) for driver wait-time exceeding standard free-time
  • Reconcile the Motor Carrier's Transport Order
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping on detention events
  • Contact Motor Carriers when vital information is missing from the POD/POL
  • Review Customer disputed invoice for accuracy
  • Monitor CIRA tickets for NON- EDI motor carriers- correct errors to minimize unmatched data
  • Work with Motor Carrier and CMA Truck dispatch team to correct unmatched Transport Orders
  • Monitor EDI Pending Errors report and correct unmatched data and not complete orders- send to BOT when required
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 years general work experience with 1-2 years' industry experience required.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications
  • Exhibits excellent, quick and accurate, typing skills
  • Detail-oriented person with strong organization skills
  • Works collaboratively within a team
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintains high level of professionalism
  • Must be available to work 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of Intermodal general operating procedures preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of CMA CGM organization and internal departments preferred
