We ask for our intern candidates to be flexible to a virtual format or residence in the location of the position throughout the duration of the internship.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute tools or scripts on a certain defined API for some API verification.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts in OOP languages.
• Develop, execute mobile phone test tools or scripts for a specific feature within a generic mobile phone test tool framework.
• Develop, explore, execute test data analysis and visualization tools or scripts for a specific test data set for a deterministic conclusion/discussion.
• Develop, execute tools or scripts on a specific interface, e.g. UART, to control external equipment on a defined interface or parse the data from a specific course.
• Develop, execute web portal scripts for a specific feature on a defined portal interface.
• Record task status and track issues in the bug tracking system.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in at least two of Java programming language, Python or C. Work will mainly be done with Java and/or Python.
• Understand and have some experience in software engineering OOP design, process, and software layered implementation/interaction and testing.
• Understand basic data modeling, analysis, and visualization technique.
• Familiarity with Android and/or iOS devices, including debugging, installation, and configuration is a plus.
• Knowledge of a bug tracking tool, such as Jira, is a plus.
• Familiarity with embedded software, including debugging, installation, and configuration is a plus.
• Software development or test experience in medica device industry is a plus.

Functional/Business Knowledge

• Basic understanding of general job aspects and limited understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
• Acquires job skills and learns the policies and procedures required to complete routine tasks.

Scope

• Work at this level requires following standardized, routine methods, under immediate supervision.
• Assignments are routine in nature and expectation is to follow pre-established guidelines and procedures.
• Contacts are mostly within own team and immediate supervisor.

Judgement

• Little responsibility for decisions as to method or selection of work.
• Receives detailed instructions on routine work and new assignments.
• Works under close supervision.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in progress from an accredited college or university, and a senior standing or above.
