Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Internal Auditor position will be based in the Cincinnati office. The functions of this role include but are not limited to:

• Performing the internal audit function for Nucor and its subsidiaries, which is heavily focused on evaluating and auditing Nucor's internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Nucor policies.
• Performing audits of areas such as inventories, revenue recognition, accounting procedures, capital expenditures, accruals, etc.
• The successful candidate should be open to relocation for future growth opportunities.
• This position includes travel, up to 40% of the time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in an internal or external financial audit role

Detailed Selection Criteria:

• Subject Matter expertise- Understanding systems of internal control including Sarbanes-Oxley and PCAOB rules and requirements.
• Leadership -Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to develop Team
• Attention to Detail- Thorough and accurate in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be.
• Planning, and Prioritizing Work- Developing specific goals and plans for prioritizing, organizing, and taking ownership of individual work and/or the work of the team given time and other constraints. Commitment to meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product.
• Initiative- Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on additional responsibilities and challenges.
• Communication-The ability to effectively synthesize and deliver communications using verbal (both in person and via phone) and written (email, audit reports, etc.) information so that others will understand.

Preferences:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Prior audit experience with a national public accounting firm
