(Contingent upon available funding): 19.00 - 23.25, Hourly Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Provide individual and group information and consultation to non-immigrant students, scholars, university faculty and staff concerning immigration regulations and their relation to legal matters, financial issues, academic concerns, health insurance, community service involvement, university policies and procedures.Process and maintain on-campus work authorizations for international student and scholar employees. Issue continued attendance I-20's for initial arriving international students. Register continuing international students into SEVIS and monitor progress of students and report as needed to SEVIS.Assist students with immigration applications for OPT, CPT, travel, dropping classes, withdrawal, etc. Coordinate with rest of ISS staff on relevant immigration updates and interpretations. Assist with the ISS International Orientation program for new students and scholars attending OSU degree programs. Assist Undergraduate Admission's DSO's as needed Assist Graduate College DSO's as needed.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, International Studies, Foreign Languages, Management, Business, or a related field.

One year of related experience.

Designated School Official (F-visas) - required after hire
Alternate Responsible Officer (J-visas) - required after hire
Notary Public - acquire after hire by end of first year of employment

Work well with students. Professional Communication skills. Sensitive to and collaborates well with diverse populations. Accuracy and attention to detail. Organized.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in International Studies, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business, Education, Counseling, or a related field.

International work abroad (outside of USA) / Immigration Officer / English Language Institute-ESL office experience, Student Services office experience.

Alternate Responsible Officer / Primary Designated School Official

Knowledge in the fields of international travel, short-term program management, international foundation fundraising, and a foreign language capacity.
