The Inventory Planner is responsible for the development and maintenance of effective forecasting models based on industry trends and demand patterns for the CSC product catalogue. The Senior Planner will be responsible for conducting monthly forecast maintenance for product groupings and supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities related to product groupings, and proposes and implements solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. This position will successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Participates in collaborative planning process with Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Develops inventory targets, such as ABC patterns (and/or product lifecycle code) and monitors inventory levels to optimize operations, safety stock and service levels.
  • Identifies long-term critical supply constraints; works with Supply Chain functions to resolve.
  • Monitors short-term operational efficiencies, backorders, capacities and inventories to identify potential supply interruptions to customers.
  • Leads vendor engagement meetings weekly to understand future supply constraints and coordinated new vendor direct opportunities.
  • Coordinates new product introductions, conversations and discontinuations with cooperation from Value Analysis Sourcing, Analytics and Project Management.
  • Leads efforts to ensure MRP data is accurate to ensure 97% fill rate and monitor substitution item stock to drive operation efficiencies
  • Measures and reports on key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory valuation; identifies new metrics and reports to improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    A bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain or Logistics Management.

  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and policies.
  • Solid mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make correct quick decisions involving inventory levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions from, as well as ability to write and present inventory reports.
  • Strong analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and pivot with ease and flexibility.
    Knowledge of planning systems, business intelligence and supply chain experience.
    1-2 years of Inventory Planning/Supply Chain experience required
