GENERAL SUMMARY:

The IT Business Partner (ITBP) is a senior-level, strategic role responsible for working directly with segment/division leadership to enable NBS Next and related business objectives through various technology services. The ITBP actively partners with business peers to understand strategic direction and to identify opportunities in which technology can accelerate or simplify business plans. The role is the senior most strategic liaison between the business and IT for all technology needs with a keen focus on driving value realization.

The ITBP is accountable for ensuring effective delivery and support of the applications that enable the businesses that they are aligned to. They are also accountable for creating and delivering on a lifecycle management approach for their portfolio. The ITBP, works with global and local IT resources to identify solutions that match the business strategy with the technology strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

Owns and manages strategic relationships with segment/division leadership personnel and serve as the primary interface to the IT function. Act as a point of escalation and un-blocker for the segment/divisional needs with a keen focus on supporting business objectives.

Identify opportunities for new or enhanced technology products/services and ensure delivery on all key commitments.

Lead team of IT professionals of varying levels, recruit, retain, and develop key talent

Actively participate in segment/division operating and strategic plan development processes ensuring that any technology dependencies are properly identified and accounted for.

Liaise with the necessary enterprise IT functions to ensure segment/division technology demand aligns with broader company architecture.

Maintain a lens on the value and commercial impact of the technology proposals - working with both business and IT leadership personnel to ensure transparency of value contribution of IT spend.

  • Significant senior stakeholder relationship management and planning capability
  • Significant knowledge of change management and business adoption of digital solutions
  • Demand management - qualifying, shaping & sizing solution concepts, plans
  • Vendor management - evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with third parties
  • Developing data-driven insights, analysis and strategic advice
  • Developing portfolio plans, budgeting and investment cases, and value realization activity
  • Portfolio or program management experience
  • Experience of developing business or functional strategic plans and roadmaps

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline
  • Advanced degree in business or technology, such as an MBA (preferred).
  • Experience in a continuous improvement role or similar six sigma roles (preferred)

Required Length & Type of Experience:
  • 12+ years of information technology business/industry work experience
  • 7+ managing a team of IT professionals; managing a global team preferred
  • 7+ years of facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects based on management objectives
  • 7+ years supporting ERP solutions and/or solutions that integrate with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, IFS, MS D365, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud, analytics, and related emerging technologies and trends
  • Global work experience managing global projects and partnering with global peers/professionals preferred
