Salary Range: $50-55k, depending on experience

ABOUT ERIE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PENNSYLVANIA Erie County Community College of PA (EC3PA), America's newest community college, is a comprehensive community college located in northwest Pennsylvania currently offering various Associate degrees and Certificates. EC3PA is focused on enhancing the county's economic condition by increasing educational opportunities for the diverse population in Erie County. POSITION SUMMARY The Systems Administrator is responsible for general duties in the Information Technology Department. These duties include provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff to effectively deliver instruction to EC3PA students. This position will be required to provide the necessary support to multiple locations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES (This list is meant to be representative and not exhaustive in nature.     Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability for end-user workstations and data centers.Compliance with established standards and procedures for systems installation and configuration.Contribute to and maintain departmental standards for deployment.End-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Repairing or replacing damaged or nonfunctional hardware.Backup system monitoring duties as assigned.Azure/M365 Directory maintenance.Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.Configure or add new services as necessary.Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.Performing tests and evaluations on operating system upgrades, new software, and new hardware for end user deployment.The Systems Administrator is part of a team within the Information Technology Department. The Systems Administrator will be a part of that team and will be expected to provide input into system and process improvements, along with technology innovations that will allow EC3PA locations to provide an optimal environment for EC3PA staff to deliver quality instruction for all students.The Systems Administrator will support Telephony equipment and software within the organization.The System Administrator will also support firewalls, switches and other networking equipment as experience and training will allow.Customer service mindset. Ability to identify trends, risks, and challenges to help drive better user experiences.Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.As a member of the college community, faculty and staff should perform their professional responsibilities in accordance with the goals, missions, and plans of the department, program, division, and College, in addition to contributing to the creation of a collegial culture.Additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
    Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology field and minimum three years' experience in
    ORHigh School/GED and five years' experience in Information Technology, such as network support, hardware support, help desk, direct end user support, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology field.Experience working in an educational setting.Ability to work with a diverse group of students and faculty.Ability to work independently but also function as part of a larger team.Professionalism, student-oriented, ability to maintain confidentiality, practiced in written and oral communication, and exhibits good decision making.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly sit at a desk and use a computer with monitors.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and arm's length vision acuity.

Occasional lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds.

The work environment is of a typical office environment, moderate noise.

Occasionally sitting in a moving vehicle as the position may require driving between campuses and sites.
