RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, one of the world's largest financial institutions, is seeking to hire multiple Java Abinitio Big Data Engineers in Wilmington, DE (Philadelphia area) and Jersey City, NJ. If you feel you are qualified, please apply today! This is an opportunity for fulltime employment.REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience as Data Engineer with either Java or Ab Initio experience
- 2 years of Ab Initio experience is a must have, will be more flexible on AWS, Hadoop, Spark
- 2 years of Java background; We need Core Java, not J2EE
- Experience with big data - preferably in a large complex organization
- Hands-on ETL background and pipeline development
- Scala or Python experience may work if not Java, but is a must
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Java, Python
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, Hadoop, spark, etc.)
- Practical cloud native experience preferably AWS
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Proven experience in Event Driven/Streaming Architecture with Kafka, modeling RDBMS and No-SQL databases, Unix Shell scripting
- Strong experience in architecting, designing, implementing ETL solutions
- Working proficiency of a variety of software engineering toolsets
- AWS experience
- Hadoop and Spark knowledge (we are migrating legacy ETLs to Spark based processing framework)
- Experience in AWS cloud
- Knowledge of Kafka, Unix, python
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
