A DAY IN THE LIFE

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil and tobacco testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance. For our families and communities, we strive to protect the air they breathe, the water they drink, and the soil on which they live.

We are looking for a full-time Analyst to join our Semi-Volatiles team at our environmental lab in Orange, CA.

Pay Range: $21-$25/hour

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

• Analyze solvent extracts for semivolatile organic pollutants by GC-MS analysis
• Review data and assemble reports
• Calibrate, maintain and repair instrument
• Prepare standards
• Maintain reagents and supplies inventory and order replacements
• Keep workstation clean and organized

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

• Requires a BA/BS in science
• Requires at least 1 year of GCMS experience in an environmental lab
• Position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a desire to work both as part of a team and independently

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
• Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
• Well organized and have an attention to detail
• Able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
