Academic Req: Required - Bachelor's or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university, preferably in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study; Preferred - Graduate degree from accredited program/university in a related field.

Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency Behavior intervention.

Work experience: Required - One (1) year of related experience and/or training; Preferred - Two (2) plus years of related experience and/or training Full-Time.

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1. Maintain awareness and understanding of current educational research, methodology and legislative mandates and share updates with staff.

2. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary or requested by the position supervisor.

3. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.

4. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of related to children and program operations.

5. Lead weekly Staff Meetings.

6. Provide on the Job Training for all new staff members. Mentor all new Facilitators as per the Education program's Coaching/Mentorship model.

7. Manage Workday entries for Education staff.

8. Gather/compile quarterly report data as well as documentation for audits.

9. Create and gather documentation for the Acculturation Binder.

10. Enter and review data in Salesforce; seek additional training on Salesforce. 11. Submit Help Desk tickets for your department.

12. Attend all required Pre-Service and ongoing trainings.

13. Schedule and participate in all scheduled meetings and supervisions.

14. Adhere to the Compass Connections policy and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.

15. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Provide instructional leadership, direction and feedback to education staff including facilitators, teacher aides and Life Skills Coordinators.

2. Identify each student's instructional needs, including those of limited English proficiency and develop curriculum to meet these needs.

3. Ensure education program and all curriculum is consistent with state and federal education requirements and Compass Connections philosophy, goals, and objectives.

4. Prepare timely reports required by licensing entities.

5. Maintain accurate records pertaining to student identification and assessment for program participation.

6. Visit classrooms frequently, for both formal and informal observations.

7. Assist with classroom management / discipline, if needed.

8. Teach at least 2 classes (if feasible for the program).

9. Coordinate/Facilitate Reading Intervention for struggling learners.

10. Become familiar with Salesforce grading system; attend additional training on Salesforce process and procedures.

11. Demonstrate the ability to utilize Outlook by knowing the proper format to send/receive emails to all relevant parties associated with job duties and responsibilities.

12. Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.

13. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.

2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.

3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.

4. Demonstrate the ability to:

a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.

b. Interpret and implement Texas Education Agency rules and regulations.

c. Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently.

d. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.

e. Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.

f. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.

g. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.

h. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
