Note: This role is •Remote -This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. With "in office" activities 1-4 times/year.

The Global Compliance & Training Lead is a key member of the GM Talent Acquisition Operations leadership team. Responsible for managing compliance activities, including collaboration with numerous COE's across the organization to ensure quality through audits and analysis. The Global Compliance & Training Lead is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Talent Acquisition organization by supporting the improvement of operational performance standards and continuous education of our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

COMPLIANCE:

  • Lead a team of compliance specialists
  • Build and maintain an effective compliance program by developing best practices and standards of talent acquisition policies and procedures across all countries of operation
  • Collaboration with legal, policy, privacy, compensation, and IT to support compliance and audits (both internal and external)
  • Conducts audits to ensure compliance of GM hiring practices and policies. Provides analytical reporting on compliance to show areas of trend and opportunity.
  • Adjudicates results of hiring requirements and concludes on eligibility of employee against company standards.
  • Acts as key contact for pre-employment compliance related issues.
  • Provides Compliance Team adequate oversight, training, and leadership to ensure potential has been reached.
  • Acts as the day-to-day escalation contact for Compliance Team
  • Documents issues and maintains formal tracking process for all assigned tasks.
  • Reviews results of audits with Talent Acquisition Leadership Team. Takes corrective action as warranted. Provides consultation regarding recommended solutions and strategies to improve compliance.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
TRAINING:
  • Build a world class training program to support all roles within the Global Talent Acquisition team at GM as well as training support for hiring managers and interviewers regarding TA processes.
  • Design instructor led and module-based learning to support day to day operational process training (Process, Tools, Technology) and continuous education and upskilling of TA (how we improve and optimize)
  • Track and analyze "pass" and "completion" of program
  • Build "learning library" for all of TA to access
  • Partner with TA leadership team to identify developmental areas of need for team to ensure growth and development

Additional Job Description

Minimal qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of Compliance experience in Talent Acquisition/or related field

Minimum 3 years of Training experience

Supervisory/Management (People Leader) experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong knowledge of OFCCP, SOX and DOJ policies
  • Experience building relationships remotely
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated success thinking "outside the box" and utilizing creative/flexible solutions to solve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
