In this position, you will be part of the development Scrum team responsible for creating and maintaining Next Generation Time products to support ADP's clients all over the world in an Agile environment. Put on your customer centric design thinking hat, ensuring development of features in the product are in line with the overall roadmap and vision.

THINGS YOU'LL DO:

  • Collaborate with development leadership, architectural peers, product owners, UX/UI teams, Internal/External stakeholders and globally distributed teams to understand requirements, design and develop application with best engineering practices.
  • Lead and participate in research, planning, design, development, test, implementation and documentation of enterprise-wide systems/applications.
  • Prototype solutions, recommend the adoption of new technologies to continually improve client experience.
  • Define engineering best practices and mentor teams to write elegant code using effective automated unit tests & Test-Driven Development methodologies.
  • Assist in the development of overall project plans and identification of intermediate deliverables including technical dependencies.
  • Work closely with multiple teams to define application development frameworks and solutions.
  • Support software operations, test and debug programs, both in Lab and Production environment in timely manner.
  • Design, extend, and optimize new/existing framework and solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and motivation to junior developers.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies required in Agile software development.
  • Meet project timeline with quality deliverables and manage multiple, dynamic priorities.
  • Self-reliant, hands-on position to lead and drive code quality, maintain application stability in an agile environment.

EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

  • 8+ years of strong hands on experience in developing and supporting Java/J2EE based Enterprise Web applications
  • Experience in developing RESTful web services using MicroService architecture
  • Experience with JPA (Hibernate ) or any other ORM framework
  • Experience with Maven build, docker containers and deploy using CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience using relational (such as Oracle/DB2) databases and NoSQL(such as mongoDB, elastic search) databases as backend
  • Experience in distributed messaging queue system using Kafka
  • Good understanding of test-driven development or BDD
  • Willing to take challenging work and be a good role model for the rest of the team
  • Self-driven with minimum guidance
  • Experience working with local and remote teams on large-scale projects

HOW YOU'LL STAND OUT:

  • Experience with AWS service such as S3, Lambda and RDS or any other cloud technologies
  • Rule engine experience such as RedHat Drools
  • Experience with Machine Learning or AI Tools
