Currently, we are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to support the Facilities/Utilities team in Paris, Texas. The Lead Mechanical Engineer for this role will provide leadership and creativity in the design, development, optimization, problem solving and operation of the Paris site facilities, utilities equipment & supporting processes in a manner that meets safety and operational performance expectations. The individual will report through the Paris engineering organization.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

  • Lead single or multiple capital or major maintenance projects with a financial scope of up to $20 million from conception through commercialization.

  • Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of facilities & utility equipment and processes to meet site objectives.

  • Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.

  • Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause.

  • Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise.

  • Manage site contractors & utility contracts.

  • Boiler House & Department Steam

  • Water Treatment

  • Waste Water Treatment

  • Chilled Water Systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers)

  • Compressed Air & Dryers Systems

  • HVAC, Air Handling Systems

  • Roofs, Drains & Building Structure

  • Underground utilities

  • Natural Gas & Land Fill Gas site contact

  • Utility - contract support, department allocation & monthly accruals

About You

You're also a college graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering and authorized to work in the United States, and have at least two years of continuous work experience.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Position typically requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific discipline and 2+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College or University

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a variety of plant and/or staff engineering assignments

  • Familiarity in capital projects, adhering to Kimberly Clark's capital execution practices, standards, and CFI's.

  • Experience working with external technical service providers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Specific, in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in manufacturing process and associated supporting infrastructure.

  • Evidence of continuing self-development.

  • Familiarity with equipment installations and startups.

  • Working knowledge of facilities & utilities equipment
