Description

The Lead Solutions Architect translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Integrates hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Responsibilities

Humana is pioneering an initiative to modernize and transform the Enterprise Knowledge & Content Management platform and adjacent enterprise capabilities with a goal to enable seamless consumer experience. This will involve a multi-year technology strategy that will focus on identifying the right technical stack, designing and implementing a cutting edge scalable platforms in the knowledge management & search space.

We are seeking a talented Solutions Architect with experience in leading the design of cutting edge technology solutions.

  • This role will involve working with solution architects, enterprise architects & experts, reviewing/selecting enterprise technology tools and processes, designing solutions and overseeing the delivery of those solutions.
  • Experience in architecting solutions in public cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure & GCP. This role will involve using appropriate cloud services, SaaS solutions, technologies, tools, methodologies and solutions to make sure that the architecture is robust, resilient, integrated and aligned with the strategy and long-term objectives of the organization.
  • Work closely with the Solution Engineering development teams & vendors to ensure that a coherent & consistent approach to design & integration is realized.
  • Contribute to and lead the build vs buy decisions from a technology perspective technical standpoint/perspective in collaboration with the business & delivery leaders.
  • Communicate and present technical aspects, risks, challenges, and selling points of a solution to IT and Business partners.
  • Identify, evaluate and assess risks to mitigate them and eliminate any factor that might hinder the successful delivery of a solution.
  • Ability to influence through subject matter expertise and proven experience of coordinating & navigation through multiple organization priorities to achieve a common goal.
  • Knowledge of /past experience with interoperability platform.
  • Experience in working with data lakes and data integration & event based architectures is highly preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise search and knowledge platforms is a plus.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Certification in any public cloud offering.
  • 10 years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering or other specialized technology field
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - particularly using deck format); able to synthesize and frame information, and convey in consumable and digestible ways to ensure comprehension among various audiences including senior leadership
  • Excellent cultural fit; highly collaborative, high-energy, positive mindset, and open to and willingness to provide feedback multi-directionally
Master's Degree
  • 3+ years of solution architecture experience
  • Driven vendor evaluations and Platform implementations
  • Knowledge of /past experience with interoperability platform.
