The Legal Services Coordinator/Paralegal is responsible for overseeing liquor licensing for the Company, reviewing, and assisting with various form contracts, responding to information requests and various legal matters and administrative tasks. The Legal Services Coordinator/Paralegal will report directly to the General Counsel with a functional reporting relationship to all attorneys in the Legal Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing liquor licensing efforts for the Company.
  • Completing and overseeing discrete contract negotiations, including catering agreements and other form contracts.
  • Prepare legal documents for review, approval, and use by attorneys, as requested.
  • Analyze data and written reports as requested.
  • Organize, maintain, and update department files.
  • Understand and follow company records management policies and procedures.
  • Assists in preparing responses to government agency inquiries (DOL, EEOC, etc.) as well as private litigant subpoenas.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed to include entering data base related billing and invoice information, answering phone, taking accurate message, scheduling meetings, drafting letters, scanning, copying, booking travel and creating expenses reports and other projects as requested.
  • Creating a welcoming "open door" environment for internal clients and directs all service requests to the appropriate person within the Department.
  • Aiding Department members in utilization of the necessary tools and training to perform their respective jobs and to grow within the Company.
  • Preparing required budgets and assists in adherence to budget expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience at law firm or in-house position
  • Paralegal certificate.
  • Demonstrated superior collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Experience with handling licensing, including liquor licenses, in various jurisdictions across the country
  • Experience drafting and reviewing simple contracts
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, Excel, eDiscovery techniques, and eBilling and matter management software
  • Demonstrated superior collaboration and relationship building skills.
