The Lithographic Press Assistants are responsible for properly performing all check as required by the Process Plan of Control. The Lithographic Press Assistant is responsible for the quality of their work. The quantity of the work performed must meet or exceed the standards established by the Department Manger. An ideal candidate is someone with printing experience, is quality minded, has good attendance, and a desire to grow their career with us!

Job Duties:

  • Making the press ready to run and running the press in the Press Operators absence.
  • Flagging defective material
  • Completion of line clearance
  • Issuing maintenance work orders when there are problems.
  • Completing quality deviation reports
  • Perform quality checks to ensure color continuity in products
  • Place material on hold if it doesn't meet customer SPECs.
  • Related duties as assigned

Experience/Skills Required:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
  • Technical and mechanical experience in printing/operating.
  • Keen attention to detail to verify all materials being added are correct.
  • Responsibility for work produced and problem-solving skills to fix errors.
  • Skills to communicate and relay information down the line that will affect quality.
  • Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.
  • Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

While preforming the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to:

  • Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
  • Continuously stand for long periods with moderate to frequent levels of walking
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly while bending, stooping, reaching, and/or twisting
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp/clasp and manipulate small items
  • Vision abilities include - close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, and ability to adjust focus
  • Medium to loud noise environment
  • Work flexible/varying schedules and hours as needed
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
