POSITION SUMMARY:

The Leave Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for managing all leaves of absence for employees within the Company in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations, CBAs, and/or Company policies.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Works closely with employees to deliver a superior experience during the leave administrationprocess.
  • Consults with and advises leadership and employees on company policies, CBA leave provisions,and federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Liaises with third-party vendors, insurance carriers, and physicians on behalf of our company andtheir employees.
  • Administers leave process ensuring that appropriate forms are sent to employees, collected, recorded, evaluated for compliance, and filed on time.
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal/State/Local regulations, CBAs, and /or Company policies are adhered to relative to leave of absence.
  • Analyzes reported Family Medical Leave (FMLA) requests; to make determinations based onState/Federal regulations, CBAs, and/or Company policies; and ensure ongoing claimmanagement; requests for additional information, recertifications, second opinions, etc.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the data within the system.
  • Completes reports and other projects and special assignments related to leave administration.
  • Travel required to all facilities, from NY to VA as needed
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

Required:
  • Equivalent of (1) a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or closely related field and a minimum 3- 5 years of directly applicable experience; OR (2) 5 years of directly applicable experience as a Leave Administrator who was involved in all aspects of Leaves of absence.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License
Preferred:
  • PHR certification.
  • Experience in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with Workday, or other HCM systems. • Related training or certifications
