Position Summary

As a member of the Global Logistics and Distribution leadership team, this role will focus on leading, and transforming Teleflex's largest DC, the North American Distribution Center and the Americas region, to build a fully engaged workforce and culture that delivers sustained world class distribution, cost, service and quality. Utilize leadership and enterprise excellence principles and processes to drive continuous improvement in site capability. Develop the team to consistently perform to the operating plan while delivering results in all key performance indicators including People, Quality, Service and Value. Ensures product quality and compliance with applicable federal regulations. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the team is capable of meeting and exceeding performance requirements.

Principal Responsibilities

• People - Proactively manages performance and team dynamics to ensure that a fair, professional and high-performance environment, aligned with company values is maintained. Develops individual and organizational capabilities to build bench strength while delivering results now and into the future.
• Quality - Demonstrates leadership, initiative and critical thinking to analyse challenges develop solutions and institutionalize SOP compliance and practices to deliver the highest quality products and results.
• Service - Demonstrates leadership, business acumen and strong execution to ensure effective management of the AOP while delivering cost effective performance and continuous improvement.
• Value - Demonstrates initiative and critical thinking to analyse cost issues, develop solutions and lead the team to deliver improving results. Serves as a leader to leverage and institutionalize CI thought processes, and utilization of lean tools.
• Culture and Values - Shape the NADC culture to be a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talent. Exemplify Teleflex values and ensure a fair, open and productive climate that is engaging, ethical and legally compliant. Leads team to work effectively across boundaries in a complex matrix environment.
• Management and coordination of all company freight in the region
• Management and coordination of trade compliance capability in the region

Key Relationships / Interfaces:
• Global Supply Chain, Functional, Regional and Leadership Teams
• GSC manufacturing network
• Business Unit Leadership Teams across Teleflex.
• Customer Experience Team

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering or related field is required; Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering or related field is desired
• 10 years+ experience in leading and managing a large complex distribution or operations site
• Medical Device Industry experience and/or FDA regulated environment a plus.
• Direct experience with supply chain operations in Latin America
• Demonstrated expertise and results in building high performance and engaged culture
• Demonstrated expertise and results in talent development and building bench strength
• Strategic vision and planning skills to lead their team to develop strategic plans that drive continuous improvement and build site capability
• Skilled at executing to the operating plan and managing financial performance
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, (SAP) and how to leverage systems to drive the business with data and processes.
• Skilled at working virtually, and leading collaboration and communication across a geographically distributed team, MS-Office and MS Teams

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Approachable and enthusiastic, willing and able to consistently engage effectively with hourly shift colleagues and all levels of employees
• Good organizational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Good judgment and problem-solving ability & is capable of understanding the impact of decision making on both Teleflex and their customers.
• Travel both in region and internationally
