Day Shift, 7:00 am - 7:30 pm

Position Summary:

Specific Duties And Responsibilities Required Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) provide basic nursing care and standard emergency and preventative healthcare to patients who are sick, injured, or just need routine health checkups. LPNs are supervised by registered nurses and doctors and perform their work alongside a team of healthcare providers.
When delegating to an unlicensed individual, the LPN retains accountability for the nursing tasks. Communications and collaboration are required within and outside the work group to provide patient care and resolve mutual issues. Communication and collaboration with external contacts is for the provision of on-going service and handling of routine transactions, frequently detailed information. Responsible for ensuring that satisfaction and service to internal and external contacts is maintained.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Reading is required to understand moderately complex materials and writing skills are required to provide information such as documenting in logs, notations, and patient medical records.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Completion of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing.
2. One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred, but not required.
3. Specialty experience may be required.
4. Must be able to pass all hospital competencies required for the position.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
1. Current Maryland license as an LPN is required.
2. Current CPR certification.
