Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a Laminator Machine Operator can vary from day to day.

  • Responsible to make sure that the machine is working properly, and set-ups for the correct size.
  • Monitor Web substrates to ensure proper bond (glue-ability)
  • Responsible for quality checks and other adjustments
  • Responsible for splicing rolls and controlling speeds
  • Communicate with necessary personnel to make sure that raw materials are ready for the order
  • Pre-heat the glues and clean the gluers.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding drawings provided for order/s being produced
  • Responsible completing paperwork for every order
  • Responsible for good housekeeping practices
  • Follow all safety regulations and policies to include Lock Out Tag Out Procedures
  • Participate in established safety programs for improvement
  • Responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing job duties
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Education and Experience
  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience with lamination.
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of measurement tools
  • Must be safe worker and work well with co-workers
  • Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn product, production equipment, and mechanical abilities
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with Plant and Office Staff
Knowledge and Skills
  • Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
  • Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to rotate shifts every 4 weeks
  • (1st shift: 7am-3pm and 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm; temporarily 11am-7pm)
  • Work overtime as scheduled (Monday-Saturday)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand/walk/bend/ lift continuously and perform physical tasks
