Maintain accurate chemical inventory, ensure compliance with approved chemical list, and SDS availability.
• Maintains safe storage of chemicals, with proper secondary containment and documented inspections.
• Maintains updated security documentation.
• Maintains accurate records of all waste disposal, ensuring compliance will regulatory and company requirements.
• Performs area inspections to identify opportunities to improve safety, security, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicates with waste subcontractors to arrange pickups.
• Meets with subcontractors and ensures all subcontractors are in compliance with safety training, job hazard analysis, hazardous work permits, and any other requirements.
• Works with cleaning company to ensure accountability of their responsibilities. Sets improvement goals and holds cleaning company accountable to deliver on improvements.
• Manages parts inventory process for all critical spare parts. Ensures lead-time
• Sets up equipment inspection rounds designed to proactively identify maintenance needs before downtime occurs.
• Reviews maintenance logs daily to ensure team is documenting maintenance activities.
• Serves as the bridge between 1st and 2nd shift... communicating all issues, changes, training, concerns, etc
• Manages key inventory process for all critical keys.
• Researches parts to order and creates order forms for the mechanics.
• Writes work orders.
• Kitting of parts for work orders.
• Planning work orders.
• Maintains work order tracking visual board.
• Maintains a list of radios assigned to each team member.
• May drive a cart or other vehicle.
• May assists skilled trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standard duties to learn new skills as required for advancement and certification.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Overview

The Maintenance Coordinator will support the maintenance team in organization, administration, tracking, inspecting, process development and process execution. In the event of an emergency he/she may be called to support necessary tasks in association with that emergency. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but management may identify other responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications

Education/Certification Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Years of Experience Required: Functional knowledge of general maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience • Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
• Maturity of judgment and behavior.
• Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in light of time and attendance policy and/or operating hours.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, as needed.
• Must comply with any dress code requirements.
