The Department of Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Manager, Business Operations to work in the UHealth Campus. The Manager, Business Operations evaluates, administers, and manages all business and administrative matters including budget, operations, programs and personnel administration for the assigned department. This position also provides financial analysis and strategic planning as well as manages the budgetary controls in partnership with various levels of management.

Supervise and assist the accessioning team - 5 staff members (2 dayshift, 1 mid-day, and 2 evening shift)
Supervise and assist the Case Management team. 6 staff members (2 located at Holtz Children's Hospital and 4 at UHealth Tower)
Oversee Pathologist Initiated Next Generation Sequencing Requests for Reference Consult Service Cases from outside facilities and internal cases from VA, Jackson, ABLEH, SCCC, Dermpath, etc.
Oversee Additional Material Requests and ordering tests in CoPath for in-house testing on Reference Service Consult Cases from outside facilities.
Supervise the staff that input the reports for our patient consult cases (addendums, amendments, final reports, etc.) and the slide returns for all the consult cases that we receive for consultation service across the medical campus, patients, and outside facilities.
Supervise the staff that will be scanning patient slides into our A2Lica Scanner for faculty presentations and conferences, educational mission for resident and fellow teaching, our breast service sub-specialty and research protocols. 1 or 2 staff members (day shift).
Handle and resolve HR issues for my areas of responsibility. Handle the on-boarding and off-boarding for my staff.
Facilitate all legal requests working with on-site legal team and external counsel. Generate invoice and process payments.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget.
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
