Responsibilities

Summary: This position is responsible for the Spencer's E-Commerce website and online brand through developing, managing and executing appropriate navigation, category management, user experience, product assortment, visual assets and partnership with Spencer's buying teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the Spencer website's branding experience, messaging, site features, information architecture and taxonomy.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the website so that the consumer is able to effortlessly navigate through the website features and functionality to create a seamless user experience.
  • Use site metrics tools to track performance such as site traffic, conversion, and page views, then produce reports to help react to business needs.
  • Oversees product set up, photography, size charts, dimensions and categorization.
  • Responsible for high level strategy and critical thinking to drive growth.
  • In addition, develop best practices for site navigation and category nomenclature. Continually review and analyze item placement within navigation for best performance. Look for opportunities to develop best practices for the item set up and management.
  • In conjunction with Creative team, develop and execute strategy for updated visual asset management including developing new category level visual standards and best practice for obtaining assets.
  • In working with the buying teams, perform regular analysis of business for item and/or category opportunities including the growth of online only items and categories. Coordinate with merchants to liquidate poor performing items. Perform regular analysis and review of competitor websites and assortments including navigation best practices.
  • Partner with the E-Commerce Marketing team to develop and execute brand appropriate promotional campaigns and email campaigns. Review promotional results along with Marketing team to continually tweak campaigns for best performance and return on investment. Help manage the promotional & email calendar. Ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities through all online channels.
  • Perform regular review of search result metrics to maximize on site conversion.
  • Partner with the UX team to continually perform user experience exercises to make sure customer conversion is maximized.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture and/or Google Analytics and HTML a plus).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as team member.
