This role is part of the Planning team responsible for Supply & Demand Planning, optimizing service, cost & administrative efficiency. Combining high technical skills in understanding technical forecasting techniques with commercial understanding of market developments and risks. Creating leadership and credibility as the thought leader on potential commercial demand scenarios that enable constructive challenge both to the Ardagh commercial leadership team as well as to customers. Leadership of the demand planning process, which includes developing clear commercial forecasting policy and practical guidelines that enable to rest of the business to deliver against commercial priorities.

Tasks & Responsibilities

•Creates monthly base-line Demand Plan, 0 to 36 months, periodically to 5 years

•Understands changes, insights, and assumptions in the demand plan

•Volumetric and financial understanding to perform gap closing measures in the plan

•Engages with and understands Account Managers and CACs commercial developments

•Captures key insights and trends from all segments/markets on a monthly basis

•Agrees variation from base-line demand plan to maximize forecast accuracy

•Observes & analyzes Glass total market size and competitor landscape

•Partner with Finance team to understand the translation of the unit volume forecast to a dollarized revenue forecast.

•Leads/Supports monthly IBP(S&OP) Demand Review

•Ensures confidence that the demand plan is a best view of future demand at all levels in the business

•Drives transformation for Demand Planning, leveraging technology to be best in class

•Prepares and facilitate the Strategic Sales Review with the CCO and VP's of Sales (bi-annual process)

•Provides support to the Sales Teams on customer collaboration projects

•Reviews and updates long-term and short-term planning processes (improvement initiatives)

•Is accountable for STP-quality and validity checks

Requirements & Qualifications

Education, Training, Computer Skills:

•Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or similar

•Proven use of forecasting systems, analysis tools -including ETL (extract, transform, load) tools

•Effective theoretical knowledge of forecasting approaches; measurement systems; and risk evaluation.

Experience:

•+5 to 8y strategic experience in a leading commercial or demand planning role involving deep immersion in customer businesses; and supply side operations (planning, manufacturing, logistics)

•Extensive experience in demand forecasting and analysis

•Strong experience in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
