You Role:

The Manager, Operations Planning & Scheduling is a mid-level management position in the Supply Chain inventory planning group. Purpose is to manage activities of operations planning and scheduling team to achieve targeted service and inventory levels while controlling operational costs and to support employees in planning and scheduling and in local business units as a technical resource, business leader, and mentor. Comply with and enforce regional optimization policies. Position requires a global view on impacts of operations on the larger Supply Chain and works with all global regions to ensure Supply Chains are linked together for optimal business results.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the production quantities and schedules for manufactured products, and packaging scheduling activities for all products.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels to achieve company objectives.
  • Meet packaging and distribution supplies goals of service levels while limiting space and inventory levels requirements.
  • Direct the development and implementation of production and packaging metrics and goals to ensuring they support the corporate business plans.
  • Measure and improve Global Planning Metrics
  • Manage a high performance global team of self-directed supply chain professionals; provide leadership and mentoring to achieve defined objectives.
  • Develop key talent.
  • Apply appropriate analytical tools (SAP, GRASP, APO, etc.) to increase the effectiveness of master schedules to meet customer and business requirements at the lowest total supply chain costs. Develop capacity plans for each operating unit.
  • Monitor resource utilization and schedule adherence to improve overall throughput & costs
  • Drive input from Sales, Marketing and Product Management to improve global supply chain efficiency and service via S&OP structure.
  • Develop and lead continuous business process improvement initiatives

As a member of Planning Management, develop long and short term plans for the planning group to support company goals, including long term systematic and organizational process improvement.Uses analysis skills to immediately resolve issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurrence.Lead the implementation of all SAP planning modulesDrive improvement in supply chain design to improve customer satisfaction

Ensure planning systems designs are optimized across the entire company and with customers and vendors to ensure excellent levels of internal service are achieved.Manage the cost center to be in line with budget

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required. MBA desired. CPIM and/or CSCP APICS Certification strongly desired
  • 3-5 years of supply chain or planning experience
  • SAP Experience desired
  • Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and work with complex system planning and forecasting systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional skills in all planning process disciplines including Sales & Operations Planning, Finite Scheduling and Forecasting.
  • Proven ability to develop planning strategies and implement them in a complex global, technical, matrixed environment
  • Good leadership, change management, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, global environment while adhering to the highest ethical standards
  • Deep knowledge of process improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to teach others these techniques
  • Ability to mentor and develop subordinates globally
  • Clear ability to build teams and influence manage worldwide
  • Fluent English language, written and spoken

Additional Local Needs:
  • Some travel within US may be required
