Manager I, Tax (Global Tax Accounting)

Note: The position is located at headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. Walmart offers a comprehensive relocation package.

You'll make an impact by:

• Assisting in the preparation and/or review of global tax accounting and reporting, including calculating the effective tax rate, current and deferred tax provisions, taxes payable and related disclosures.
• Preparing and/or reviewing quarterly ASC 740 global income tax accounting process.
• Reporting and communicating planning and results.
• Participating in frequent internal management tax reporting process including global tax forecasting.
• Coordinating and communicating directly with other executive leadership across the business including foreign market tax teams, controllership, technical accounting, and FP&A.
• Assisting with tax SOX related documentation and support.
• Assisting coordinating global tax planning, transactional, and compliance efforts.
• Supporting new business initiatives/launches by analyzing tax accounting implications.
• Researching and resolving tax technical and tax accounting issues and draft supporting memoranda.
• Assisting coordinating global tax technology transformational efforts relating to tax reporting.
• Assisting coordinating with local-country tax teams to resolve tax technical issues.
• Participating in and/or leading global finance initiatives.
• Providing supervision and development opportunities for associates.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

You'll sweep us off our feet if:

• You have 2+ years of experience in income tax accounting
• You have 2 years of supervisory experience
• Master's degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• You have experience working in a Public Accounting firm or large public company
• You have experience in OneSource Tax Provision software
• You have experience leading cross functional projects

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 1 year's experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related
area OR 3 years' experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related area.
