The company's Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex in Port Arthur, TX, is comprised of North America's largest refinery with a total throughput of 720,000 barrels per day, the world's second largest lubricants plant, and an integrated chemical plant. Under exclusive long-term brand licenses with Shell and Phillips 66 (for the 76® brand), Motiva's commercial operations supply more than 12 billion gallons of fuel to customers annually. Motiva is wholly owned by Aramco, one of the world's largest integrated energy and chemicals companies.

Position Overview:

Motiva is looking to grow our Center of Excellence (CoE), a team spearheading support initiatives impacting Aramco's global refining portfolio. This role will act as a Project Manager and Advisor, ensuring value-creation initiatives are shared and implemented throughout the Aramco portfolio. To be successful, we're looking for a flexible individual with strong presentation skills and engineering experience in manufacturing/plant sites. Substantial travel, including international trips, is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business through remote meetings and face-to-face interactions.
  • Research and share industry best practices related to Downstream Oil & Gas operations across the Aramco family.
  • Conduct industry research through various channels, including attending conferences, employing specialized consultants, and reviewing publications.
  • Tap into Motiva's top talent to strengthen the profitability and operational effectiveness of the Aramco Family.
  • Develop innovative solutions to difficult challenges across the downstream network as a subject matter expert.

Experience and Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Refining and/or Chemicals business with a proven understanding of the downstream oil & gas value chain.
  • Experience in developing creative commercial and technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills.
  • Effective management of internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in office software like Microsoft Office Suite, calendar management tools, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to gather information, conduct research, and compile data for reports and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization and influence high levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Advanced degree.
  • Experience in other parts of the Downstream business, including New Energies & Carbon, Base Oils, and Retail.
  • Optimization or supply chain background, including experience in supply scheduling and running LP models

Physical Requirements:
  • This role requires significant travel, including regular trips to Saudi Arabia and other countries housing Aramco Downstream Assets.
