Position Overview

As a member of the Global Product Platforms team, The Manager, Delivery Platforms will be responsible for building and managing the roadmap for global internal delivery tools and systems at NPD. The Manager will partner heavily with the Technology and Operations to enhance existing capabilities and suggest new tools needed to enable a seamless user experience to NPD's end users - clients spanning multiple industries including retail, apparel, technology and more. This individual will get the opportunity to build solutions that both improve efficiencies for NPD and deliver clear value to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage user research and analytics to uncover key use cases and opportunities coming from cross-functional partners in Operations, Technology, and other departments
  • Balance long-term development needs with short term improvements, optimizing for speed of learning and time to impact
  • Champion the needs of the direct and indirect users of the tools you build or enhance: NPD employees and NPD's clients
  • Own the end-to-end development of internal tools leveraged in the seamless delivery to NPD's clients
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer and user problem statements
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, including gathering requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Communicate status, blockers, risks, mitigation strategies to next level manager and partner teams, as needed.
  • Lead sprint planning, manage feature prioritization and identify delivery dependencies
  • Ensure what we build continuously delivers value
  • Work with users to understand and address blockers to scaling and usage
  • Continuously monitor and analyze product performance, making educated recommendations to improve the user experience and product performance


Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in operations, business, market research, technical fields, or other related industries; experience in a company producing analytics products a plus
  • 5+ years of work experience in B2B or SaaS product management, developing new products or enhancing existing ones
  • Proven leadership skills and an ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams
  • Excellent project management, organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Fluency in using data to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Not afraid to speak up or take risks
  • Proactive and enthusiastic
