Responsible for the development and delivery of project onboarding and on-going project training to include but not limited to: disease state, product, governance, and ongoing-skills and development training. Assist project leadership with oversight of quality assurance, creation and maintenance of project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies, document control, and management of training documentation processes.

What will you be doing?
  • Perform baseline and ongoing assessments to identify project training needs, and to develop tailored training curriculum address to those needs.
  • Lead development and updating of high-quality project education training plan and materials to drive a consistent and deep understanding of scientific knowledge on, and communication fluency with client products, respective disease states and project process and procedures.
  • Work with project team, account management team and quality function to develop and enhance client trainings, with the objective of improving customer satisfaction, quality of service and compliance.
  • Define and document training plan, schedules, and requirements per client and Ashfield guidelines. Design, develop, and revise training and instructional materials for classroom use, ad-hoc and/or self-administered training. Provide ongoing and refresher training for project team.
  • Make recommendations on the best methodology and implementation methods for training programs. Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of project training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Confer with management and clients to conduct surveys to identify training needs based on performance, engagement, changes, and other factors.
  • Use quality assessments and skills gap analyses to identify training needs per team and individual.
  • Implement coaching sessions and project preceptor program to establish a culture of continuous learning and skill building.
  • Assess team dynamics to implement engagement and team building initiatives to strengthen culture and enhance productivity.
  • Provide input to project leadership regarding the performance and the effectiveness of the project trainers, training program, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Partner with Ashfield Learning & Development function to ensure an integrated learning plan and holistic approach.
  • Ensure project activities meet with and integrate organizational requirements for quality and compliance management, health and safety, and environmental policies.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, including conducting performance appraisals supporting learning opportunities and career development.
  • Manage and control expenditure within agreed project training budget.
  • Acts as operational point person for applicable client audits.


What do you need for this position?
  • Master's Degree Preferred; Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree preferably in education or healthcare
  • Current US healthcare professional license
  • Certification in Adult Learning concepts and/or Instructional Design, preferred.
  • Preferred 7 years of training and development experience, in healthcare related training OR minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in adult learning.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, electronic learning, workshops, simulations etc.).
  • Proven record of accomplishment in designing and executing successful training programs.
  • Minimum 10 years of varied healthcare experience with a preference for industry background.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop effective working relationships across a broad selection of functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment where managing internal and external expectations is critical.
  • Strong and demonstrable presentation skills, business acumen, and coaching ability.
  • Strong focus on client and customer delivery.
  • Process excellence and ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.
  • Must be prepared to challenge and have a strong desire to move the business forward.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a history of influencing companywide strategies and initiatives within previous organizations.
