Job Summary

Manages various programs and projects on behalf of AVANGRID Networks with the objectives of timely and cost effective completion.

Responsibilities

1. Provides leadership on various innovation programs and demonstration projects, including those associated with the organization's New York, Connecticut and Maine efforts. Represents AVANGRID Networks before various stakeholders, including partners, municipal, governmental and/or regulatory entities focusing on energy storage projects and programs.

2. Prepares business cases, demonstration/pilot justifications, regulatory approval documents, stakeholder management and communications plans, partnership formation recommendations, use case development and manages successful implementation, tracking and reporting. Responsibility for success of enterprise level complex project or pilot delivery and attainment of results. Monitors progress against plans and reports to senior management.

3. Coordinates efforts of cross-functional project teams. Holds regular program/project status meetings. Ensures successful transition, including change management and required business process integration to appropriate business areas, as needed

4. Is the lead team member with respect to accomplishing day-to-day goals and provides expertise and immediacy of decision making. Holds project team members accountable for results.

5. Provides linkage to executives for decision making outside of day-to- day program/project team activities.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree with 7 years relevant experience required
• Prior work experience in communications and stakeholder engagement strategy development and execution, public affairs and community relations
• Experience leading implementation of complex initiatives
• Experience in business case development and benefits capture
• Proven leadership ability within a matrix environment, including geographically dispersed teams
• Proven track record of achieving results in high pressure and high-profile assignments
• Experience in managing vendor relationships

Skills/Abilities:

• Experienced in the energy industry and knowledge of business operations
• Development and execution of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement strategies
• Excellent public speaking skills; ability to deliver consistent messages to multiple internal and external stakeholders in both one-on- one and audience settings
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders and senior management
• Knowledge of emerging distributed energy technologies and other innovation trends impacting the energy industry
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams and create an environment of collaboration both internally and externally

PURA established a statewide energy storage program in CT through docket 17-12-03RE03. This position is required to comply with the various regulatory filings and ongoing annual docket proceedings as the 9-year program advances.

This position will collaborate with DEEP to meet additional state requirements, participate in all legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement storage needs for UI. Similar efforts in NY and ME will also be supported.
