NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Manager, Web 3 based in Charlotte, NC.

The Manager, Web 3 is responsible for developing and expanding enterprise opportunities in new and emerging digital sectors.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage the strategic deployment of emerging digital technologies through partnerships and maximize blockchain-related opportunities (e.g., non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrency, blockchain games).
• Support the development of emerging digital product strategy including blockchain-related opportunities (e.g., non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrency, blockchain games, etc.).
• Develop partnerships with the goal of driving revenue growth, increasing engagement across key demographics and work across the organization to amplify their impact.
• Synthesize multiple sources of information to develop a coherent understanding of market opportunities, emerging customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Build and maintain a deep professional network with companies, investors, industry experts and other stakeholders in the Web 3 area.
• Aggressively pursue new growth markets that enable NASCAR's long-term strategic goals.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and close strategic deals and other partnerships in an aggressive time frame.
• Align with elite cross-functional teams on key strategic initiatives (content, marketing, ops, legal, finance, etc.).
• Domestic travel of 10-15%

Required skills / experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in the sports, entertainment, emerging media, digital gaming or consumer products industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of the Web 3 ecosystem and familiarity with a broad range of Metaverse technologies, from Web 3 to spatial web, including key players, business models, GTM strategies and community building.
• A history of generating value through emerging digital technologies or adjacencies, fluency in a broad variety of partnership models, and the ability to drive the deal process from strategy inception to consumer reception.
• Familiarity with a broad range of Metaverse technologies, from Web 3 to spatial web including key players, business models, software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine), marketing, and community building. Established or blossoming network is plus.
• Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems, technologies and culture including DLTs, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, smart contracts, dApps, DAOs, wallets, tokenomics, and more.
• A sense of urgency to pioneer and launch compelling solutions that create the future of fan engagement.
• Experience working on technology innovation projects with high degrees of ambiguity.
• 4+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the sports, entertainment, emerging media, digital gaming, or consumer technology sector.
• Established or blossoming network in the Web3 industry: Platforms, Creators, Community Managers, Influencers, OEMs, Publishers, Developers, Agencies, Manufacturers, Gaming & Sports or Media is preferred.
• A passion for Web 3 communities; proficient in various platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitch, etc.)
