Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle, located in Hebron, Ohio is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join the team and be a part of supporting our Mission to build value for employees, customers and stakeholders by delivering timely, cost-effective, innovative ride solutions to advance the global commercial transportation industry.

Position Purpose:

In this position the intern/co-op will be exposed to a variety of Manufacturing Engineering functions at a manufacturing plant level.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in defining new assembly standards.

• Create and revise work instructions for processes.

• Fixture design and fabrication.

• Data analysis.

• Other projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Effective oral, written, and PC skills mandatory
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required
• 3D modeling experience in CREO/ProE is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and have strong planning skills
• Ability to communicate with employees in a 1 on 1 or group setting
• Self motivated and willing to learn
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Ability to use measuring devices (digital calipers, micrometers, etc)
• Ability to work in standard and metric units

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.

• Must be comfortable in an industrial environment.

• Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area.

• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes as required.
