Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Mold Tool Qualifications
  • Measure parts, perform functional testing, perform data analysis, and write qualification report
• 5S Production Floor
  • Tape out area using 5S principles for proper flow and safety in production.
  • Set up new conveyor systems for use in production.
  • Determine ways to reduce conversion costs
  • Organize WIP and Finished Goods areas
• Aid Inlining Analysis and Testing
  • Develop a plan for inlining one product line as a pilot program
  • Execute the plan and evaluate results
  • Present results to management with goal of proving or disproving the value proposition of inlining for the whole facility
• In-Mold Labeling Capper
  • Aid automation where required in IML project
  • CAD design of any required fixture or prototypes required to refurbish machine.
• Check 2D and 3D engineering drawings to ensure compliance to Nordson standards
• Verify with molded parts that drawings are correct
• Develop Bill of Materials and manufacturing routings
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Must be currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in an engineering field

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in 3D CAD Design software (SolidWorks preferred)

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP and IQMS preferred)

• Willing to be hands on in the manufacturing facility

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Self-Motivated and the ability to multitask
