Position Overview:

The Marine Operator's core function shall be to manage Motiva chartered tonnage (spot, term, coa) on inland and ocean-going vessels end-to-end, supporting all analytical reviews and functions of the vessel operations therein. The primary focus of this position shall be to monitor the safe, reliable, and efficient operations of Motiva chartered tonnage on inland, coastal, and offshore as a supporting member to the Marine Chartering Team

Responsibilities:

• Manage vessel daily voyage operations, reporting out vessel traffic and location of Motiva Chartered tonnage to the key internal stakeholders - Trading and Supply Operations
• Responsible for issuing Voyage Orders to Motiva chartered vessel masters, brokers, agents, & counterparties ensuring clear, safe and reliable marine voyageoperational performance is executed throughout
• Support charterer with the vetting nominations on all Motiva Chartered vessels.
• Responsible for scheduling all assigned ship to ship (STS) lightering operations
• Work with supply schedulers, traders, channel optimizers, & charterers to optimize chartered tonnage
• Ability to enter actualized final costs into the vessel accounting systemfor P&L review and voyage close out.
• Provide post-fixture recap analysis to Charterer/Demurrage analyst to assist in eliminating undue cost exposure
• Manage operational efficiency of voyages, seeking areas for improvement such as demurrage/deviation impacts, port call rotation, and vessel scheduling.
• Provide Adhoc reporting support to the Marine Team

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Thorough knowledge of shipping operations, ship/shore interface management
• Thorough knowledge of various crude oils grades, intermediates, and product streams.
• Thorough understanding of various grade compatibility and loss control best practices
• Ability to understand tanker charter parties, general demurrage and marine voyage economics

Preferred not required:

• Graduates degree in Marine or International Logistics, Deck Officer or Engineer from a maritime academy
• Previous sailing experience preferably aboard tank vessels

• Self-motivated, mature professional with ability to work in multiple teams. Crude Clean and Base Oils Trading
• Ability to manage and integrate with others in different functions. Good communicator, both written and oral.

Requirements:
