Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage global NBS Next Strategic Discipline activities including running reports, leading report-outs and conducting training as needed for the global ICS team
  • Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins to develop reports, procedures, and tools for continuous improvement efforts
  • Directly support product line managers on special-request and on-going projects and analyses
  • Support product management with monthly analysis of existing transactional level data to identify price/margin erosion, recommending and implementing appropriate strategies to reverse these erosions
  • Independently develop new Excel models, charts and graphs, and procedures as necessary
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin
  • Conduct special-request projects involving pricing and competitive intelligence
  • Support Product Line Managers (PLM's) with SAP and quoting systems, ensuring pricing data is both current and accurate
  • Evaluate and fix errors in SAP Master data, product hierarchy, Corporate Groups, etc.
  • Conduct regular segmentation analyses to monitor profitability and to identify recommended price adjustments
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis
  • Prepare strategic analyses in preparation for Annual Strategic and Operating Plans.
  • Create and update comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including market share, growth projections and trends, Mekko diagrams and market forces

Education and Experience Requirements
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience; bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a business-related field

  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and analytics and capable of driving insight to action
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively present the organization and its products and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical capabilities
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential; SAP and Business Warehouse experience strongly preferred
  • Additional language proficiency is a plus
