The Master Scheduler supports the timely coordination of resources to meet the customer requirements and on-time delivery. In this position you will collaborate with functional leads to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources in the most efficient manner. The Master Scheduler organizes and runs production planning meetings, maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts, engages in new program launches, and monitors performance to plan with schedule attainment. As Master Scheduler you will need to learn and understand Delfield operations and products, scheduling, management systems, and have knowledge of BOM - manufacturing routings.

Major Accountability:

  • Manage and maintain QAD ERP Master Schedules and Production Schedules
  • Revise schedules as needed and alert appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop long term customer forecasts.
  • Recommend resource and schedule plan changes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Plans, schedules production activities by sequencing individual work centers.
  • Maintains and reports complete and accurate information on Production Schedules and goals.
  • Communicate with customer service exceptions to plan.
  • Monitors premium freight.
  • Analyzes work flow and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to maximize manpower and equipment.
  • Assists in reallocating material not required for production orders; manages excess and obsolete inventory and material returns.
  • Recommends opportunities for improvement to leadership.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience in Industrial Manufacturing.
  • 6+ years of experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment or project-based scheduling.
  • 2+ years of experience within PLM and ERP systems - QAD preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Experience in Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • General logistics knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Working knowledge of QAD Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
