The Specific Role Where You Can Add Value:  Material Handler/Warehouse/Forklift

Working with general direction, position is responsible for the movements of raw materials, supplies, work in process and customer finished goods. Must be proficient and OSHA qualified to operate forklift and clamp truck. Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of departmental paperwork including but not limited to customer orders, bills of lading, shipping orders, etc. Warehouse Associate must be able to perform all duties of Material Handler and Material Attendant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Inspects and operates powered lift on a daily basis
Assembles customer orders pulling proper product from inventory, work in-process or supplies
Monitors inventory levels and communicates areas of concern
Instructs Material Attendants and/or Packer/Loaders on proper loading layouts
Assists in training of departmental personnel
Competently completes all required paperwork including customer orders, bills of lading and shipping tickets
Signs bill of lading as agent for Tri Seal
Acts as a backup to Warehouse Clerk/Traffic Clerk.
Follows and participates in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment
