Job Title: Mechanical Integrity - Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:
  • POND is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Integrity Project Manager eager to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate should possess an engineering degree or minimum of 10 years' experience and be comfortable with domestic and international short-term travel up to 25%.
  • The successful candidate will manage and execute field evaluations on storage tanks, piping systems, and pressure vessels in industrial, Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, DoD settings, and therefore should be adept at field and office activities.
  • Excellent communications and engineering report writing skills are a must.
  • The candidate will work with clients and our internal team on small and large projects to provide services on-schedule and within budget.
  • Work assignments will include: storage tank, piping system, and pressure vessel inspections; analytical evaluation of systems for continued operate ability; development and preparation of technical documents (reports, work plans, etc.); development of mechanical integrity and inspection plans; manage projects and deliver services on schedule and within budget.
  • Mentor and train up-and-coming (Entry-level) personnel.
  • The candidate should have experience with facility / due diligence assessments, integrity management plans, API inspections, PSM program development, NDT/NDE procedures, positive material identification, etc.

SUMMARY

A Mechanical Integrity Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and administering the work to successfully complete the project in budget, on time and in accordance with the company's quality standards. Develops

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads the project team to complete work on time and within budget.
  • Sets up project management and disciplines budgets, monitors on a weekly basis and works with project staff to ensure budgets are met.
  • Anticipate budget short falls and overages well in advance and adjust schedules and work effort accordingly to achieve man-hour, revenue, profit and schedule goals. Controls scope creep.
  • Conducts a kick-off meeting and establishes project schedules prior to beginning work. Ensures all project team members are informed on the scope of work, schedules, fee allocations, client requirements and proposal qualifications.
  • Conducts and leads regular project progress meetings (a minimum of bi-weekly)
  • Ensures development of a quality project by reviewing the documents/work products on a regular basis for presentation quality, adherence to client scope and company quality standards.
  • Is responsive in all situations to all questions and issues by maintaining an attitude of open communication and in keeping with our corporate values.
  • Maintains relationships, and becomes familiar with client's business and expectations, to encourage and promote future/repeat business.
  • Keeps current with client criteria/requirements, ensures deliverables meet clients expectations.
  • Assists in preparing proposals, presentations, reports and visiting prospective clients.
  • Coordinates with sub-consultants to establish fees and coordinates with accounting to establish sub-consultant agreements.
  • Understands and masters the basics of accrual accounting as it relates to revenue and billing, coordinates with Accounting on billing and revenue issues and works closely with Program Managers to establish monthly revenues.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the company accounting software/platform.
  • Completes monthly billing within 5 days of receipt.
  • Acts as project lead on selected projects.
  • May be required to work after typical hours as project requirements and company needs dictate.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Updates and maintains body of knowledge related to training, degree and job responsibilities.
  • Possesses strong communication, interpersonal and management skills.
  • Completes assigned work on time and within budget.
  • Adheres to and enforces company policies and procedures.
