Lasko Products is looking for energetic, mechanically inclined individuals who do not mind getting their hands dirty to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include the mechanical set up of resistance welding machinery, stamping presses and CNC turrets and brakes.

  • Able to set-up and monitor the production of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot issues with jobs trained to setup.
  • Change coils of steel.
  • Regularly perform a quality check of parts.
  • Clean production equipment when necessary.
  • Record production counts and other data to support department assigned to.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.

Essential Functions
  • Must be able to understand and apply basic directions with regard to safety procedures, quality standards, production goals, and company rules, regulations and processes.
  • Must be capable of using hand tools and have ability to operate machinery in routine and non-routine, and complex and non-complex environments.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity a must.
  • Operate within Lasko’s standard operating procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintains proper inventory of tooling and equipment.
  • Must be capable of maintaining a good attendance record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, for example, but not limited to;
  • Ensuring basic quality standards are met;
  • Reworking/repairing product;
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Competencies and Abilities
  • Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into the CNC machinery
  • Ability to analyze the information provided on blueprints or other explanatory documents to make sure the final product matches the draft
  • Strong computer skills as CNC Operators use computer software to control machinery
  • Understanding of how the machine works to maintain the machinery for which they are responsible and ensure it functions properly.
  • Problem-solving skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft

Education Requirements:
  • High School Graduate/GED
Other Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature swings, noise, dust, heavy forklift/truck/pedestrian traffic.
