Position Summary:

Medical Assistants works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional. Assist Colleague Health staff with project based work by providing clerical, administrative or project management support. Maintains exam rooms to insure supplies are present and that room and equipment is in working order and in clean condition. MA's are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What Medical Assistants, MAs will do:
  • Utilizes a variety of information systems to enter and access information.
  • Immunizations
  • Fit testing
  • Provide first line of support to employees, volunteers and guests in regards to work injuries
  • Scheduling of physicals
  • Recommends alternative solutions/courses of actions to identified problems/issues
  • Contact necessary staff if questions/issue is beyond scope of knowledge.
  • Maintains departmental computer database files and data used for quality assurance, statistical reporting and other purposes. This may include obtaining, clarifying, calculating and entering information, assisting in data retrieval, and preparing reports.

What Medical Assistants, MAs will need:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an accredited certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Be able to obtain RMA (AMT) or CMA (AAMA) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 2 years of Medical Assisting experience preferred
