The Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Biller. The Medical Biller compiles amounts owed to medical facility and maintains order, invoice, and payments records. This position is responsible for coordinating the functions of the billing, posting, refunding or adjustments on the individual patient account. May have specific area of responsibility in area of Governmental Programs, Managed Care or Commercial accounts, etc. and in that responsibility insures patient demographic information is accurate and funding source is billed appropriately, accurately and timely
- Responsible for maintenance and control of unbilled insurance file for a given section of patient accounts.
- Reviews files daily and spot checks final bills for accuracy and readiness for billing
- Prepares and submits claims via (E-Premis) electronic billing system to carriers and intermediaries within 24 hours after all information is available for billing.
- Follows up on any pending claims that require billing interaction.
- Responsible for accurate accounting of all claims.
- Maintains accurate Patient Financial Folders on Patient Accounts.
- Complies will all rules and guidelines that govern collection activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Billing Supervisor or Director.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
- General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
- Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
