Merchandising Manager is responsible for coordinating the strategic merchandising action which will drive growth and profitability of Hanes Women's Innerwear line in all channels of distribution. The manager will report under Design/ Merchandising function and will have close involvement with cross functional areas Marketing and Sales. The manager will deliver merchandising excellence for Mass, Department Store, and E-Comm channels. Seasonal sell-in activities are key components of this role, and his/her expert knowledge and presentation skills will support and enhance customer-facing meetings to drive profitable sales and increase market share.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to facilitate key milestone meetings across the calendar; attend and participate in meetings and presentations to other departments.
  • Partners with design through concept & product development process.
  • Execute successful seasonal strategy meetings that support the brand growth initiatives.
  • Develops market research analysis and business acumen to inform seasonal strategy meetings.
  • Collaborates strategically in the creation and implementation of consumer-right assortments across multiple channels/tiers from seasonal kick-off to market sell-in.
  • Works with sourcing team to acquire costs for new seasonal items - Identifies procedures for decreasing costs and process improvements across respective panty functions.
  • Responsible to post and update line sheets and line close documents.
  • Prepares, updates, maintain and issues brand line sheets.
  • Identifies with marketing seasonal print needs by brand and provides seasonal color roadmaps to design.
  • Responsible to present the line and deliver merchandising initiatives in key meetings and team process improvement projects.
  • Leads product presentation/communication, sample requests and tracking for previews, sell in meetings, and seasonal market week coordination.
  • Deliver merchandising excellence and functional efficiencies throughout multiple categories within all customer channels.
  • Attends and presents at seasonal sell in meetings to showcase compelling product offerings that will increase profitable sales and market share.
  • Drives to streamline communication and create efficiencies with all key partners internally and externally.
  • Shares competitive intelligence with internal teams to provide ongoing market information.
  • Develops market research analysis and business acumen to inform seasonal strategy meetings.
  • Manages and coordinates all the sample order process and tracking samples for internal/external meetings as needed; Provides elevated samples and materials for presentations at seasonal sell-in meetings.
  • Responsible for product presentation, including product procurement, marketplace assessment, set-up, and competitive benchmarking analysis.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Sales and key retail accounts to drive product strategy and maximize planogram efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred in Design/Merchandising/Textile related field
  • Min 5-7 years' experience in product development, merchandising/retail with some experience in a managerial/decision making role
  • Expert knowledge in women's intimates/ innerwear related category is a plus.
  • Proven ability to ideate and apply creative thinking (retail execution, concepts, color application, visual presentation and development).
  • Excellent presentation skills, strong communication/ interpersonal skills -
  • Experience with sell in meetings to showcase compelling product offerings that will increase profitable sales and market share.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and ability to cope with pressure
  • Occasional domestic travel required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc), PLM. Adobe Creative Suite is a Plus
