Job Description

GPI Geospatial is seeking a Mobile LiDAR Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities and production of the Mobile LiDAR team to work from anyone of our offices. The Mobile LiDAR Manager reports to the Mapping Resource Director and coordinates mapping production and scheduling for their team members. The MLM has the overall responsibility for ensuring the timeliness of product delivery and quality of ALL Mobile LiDAR deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and coordinating team production operations to best meet project requirements, schedules, and high utilization goals.
  • Develops team assignments based on availability, skillsets, client/deliverable knowledge, location, and project prioritization.
  • Coordinates with the extraction team and project managers on overall project scheduling.
  • Assist MRD with resource scheduling and SMLPM with trajectory and LiDAR processing.
  • Trains team members as necessary
  • Develops target diagrams and mobile LiDAR drive plans and assist with proposal development.
  • Responsible for generating final control reports, acquisition, and project reports.
  • Facilitate production efforts to ensure the quality of deliverables, properly coordinate with MRD, and supervise general data management practices.
  • Ensures work is properly allocated to the team's staff to facilitate timeliness in project delivery.
  • Responsible for quality of work and final deliverable creation and review.
  • Coordinates directly with clients for project status updates, schedules, invoices, deliverable expectations, and general project inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or higher in surveying technology, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying with experience processing data in the office
  • 2+ years working with LiDAR point clouds
  • Capability of processing and registration of mobile LiDAR data
  • Knowledge of importing adjusted field data into AutoCAD/MicroStation platforms
  • RIEGL Mobile Lidar software experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience creating exhibits, plan sheets, and control documents preferred but not required

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
