SUMMARY

Maintenance Controller/Technical Analyst is responsible for the day to day operation of on-going and planned maintenance on company-operated aircraft. Maintenance Controller/Technical Analyst maintains communication with line maintenance and outstations ensuring all work accomplished are per company policies. Controller/Analyst monitors deferrals and ensures planned action for correction is executed at the next available maintenance opportunity. Maintenance Controller/Analyst ensure maintenance is performed per applicable aircraft manuals and Amerijet' s GMM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure any corrective action required by defects recorded in the aircraft log by the flight crews at outstations is corrected or deferred by licensed and qualified personnel or facility in accordance with the Amerijet GMM 7-1, GMM 4-9 and the applicable Company minimum equipment list.
  • Will evaluate and analyze all DMI's MEL A, B, C, D, WDR, NEF and TLI's, and TLD's and come up with a plan to be executed by the Line maintenance department.
  • Based on availability, will perform the analysis of deferred MELs A, B, C, D, NEF and TLI, TLD less than given expiration days, times or cycles, (with category of complexity and Operational Limitations), which have been worked by the Line Maintenance, but not cleared in order to be reassess and line out.
  • Will provide detail and specific instruction to troubleshoot and clear aircraft discrepancies.
  • Will verify that all parts, tools and materials are ordered as necessary, in order to resolve deferred maintenance Items effectively, before expiration. will perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to read, decipher and communicate findings of wiring diagrams system schematizes, and complex aircraft regulatory documents.
  • Review the qualifications of the personnel or facility assigned to accomplish unscheduled maintenance or repairs at outstations and issuing any one-time Authorization that may be required in accordance with GMM 7-50.
  • Ensure that unscheduled maintenance and repairs to Company aircraft are accomplished in accordance with applicable manufacturer\u0027s manuals or the Company\u0027s publications and the aircraft is returned to service as required by GMM 4-11, GMM 4-23 and GMM 7-1.
  • Requisition parts required for unscheduled aircraft maintenance and repairs from the Materials department.
  • Ensure deferred item record keeping and distribution of paperwork are accomplished as required by the Amerijet GMM Chapter 7 Section 8.
  • Communicate all pertinent information regarding defect deferral or repair procedures and requirements to the Captain of the aircraft, Maintenance personnel involved at the outstation Amerijet Flight Followers on duty.
  • Provide a written "turnover report", consisting of the occurrences on the duty shift, to the incoming shift controller. This will be done every shift, even when no deferrals or outstation maintenance is accomplished.
  • Providing "aircraft on ground" (AOG) information to the Manager of Maintenance Control, Director of Maintenance and Quality Control.
  • Complete the Maintenance Delay / Out of Service Reports as required by the Amerijet GMM 7-36, providing a Weekly Delay Report to the Manager of Maintenance Control, the Directors of Maintenance and Quality Control.
  • Advise the FAA and the Quality Control department promptly of any incidents or aircraft delays that may require FAA reporting in accordance with 14 CFR 121.705. Refer to GMM 7-5.
  • Prepare the aircraft status and morning meeting reports.
  • Verify part interchangeability on request from the Material department.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Control.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
  • Must hold a mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Repairing airplanes in a certificated airframe repair station that is rated to maintain airplanes in the same category and class of airplane as the Company operates.
  • Before being assigned as a maintenance controller/Technical Analyst, the individual must complete Company orientation and, if required, aircraft type qualification training, Airworthiness Release, Inspection and any other required training.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity either maintaining the same category and class of airplane as the Company uses; and
  • Have 3 years\u0027 experience within the past 6 years in one, or a combination of; maintaining large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats, including at the time of appointment as Maintenance Controller, experience in maintaining the same category and class of airplane as the Company operates.

    • Ability to effectively communicate technical information either individually or in a group setting to the user in understandable terms.
    • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, technical publications, work instructions, and software manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail in the preparation and proofing of various documents and correspondence.
  • Excellent reasoning ability
    • Ability to understand and implement instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while handling multiple tasks with tight timelines.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment to include computers, calculators, copiers, faxes and printers.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
