Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional New Product Design Manager to join our TEAM! As the New Product Design Manager, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as development and presentation of new products and builds relationships with vendors.

Primary Objective.
Assists in the development of new products, giving direction regarding colors and surfaces/textures.

Major Function and Scope
Participates in the overall product strategy as well as the design, development, and introduction of new products.
Travel to manufacturing facilities domestic and international to work on the product industrialization and approval.
Travel to customer product presentation meetings
Presents and communicates new product and programs to field sales groups and customers.
Identifies and meets with new and existing vendors to evaluate new product opportunities.
Collaborates with R&D, Manufacturing, and vendors in developing new products and managing existing products.
Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
Conducts market research and identifies/tracks market trends.
Assist in determining product portfolio gaps; such as price point, new technologies and customer needs.
Manages specific programs as identified by Sr. Product Development Manager
Approve final product in the lab and at the plant.
Prepares designs for display and/or production according to specific input.
Prepare trend reports
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing or similar discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of product design experience.

Competencies
Ability to influence and foster teamwork at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
