Basic Job Functions:

Reports to IT Supervisor - Group Applications

Nucor Tubular Products seeks qualified applicants for the position of NTP Developer. The Developer is a detail-oriented team player that will produce and maintain clear, concise code while ensuring that Nucor's programs are functional and efficient. The successful candidate will be a safety-minded, goal-oriented, cost reducing and quality-driven teammate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, developing and maintaining code to support internal applications; maintaining a consistent development process; completion of documentation; provide effective communication; and complete projects in a timely manner. Ability to work or travel on an "as needed" basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Specific Duties May Include:

: • Design, development and implementation of new programs and applications. Including development of custom software or software for sales purposes. Testing, QA and de-bugging of new software; making recommendations to teams that respond to technical problems and business issues.

• Continual follow up with and update existing software. Implementation of small changes or software enhancements up to completely redesigning an application.

• Review requests for new projects and recommend modifications for existing programs. While evaluating new projects or requests for enhancements, determine the project cost/budget, project timeline, goals and feasibility and then oversee projects through completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Safety focused personality.
• Bachelor's degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, Information Management, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• 2+ years' programming experience.
• Extensive knowledge in various programming languages above (Java, JavaScript, SQL).
• Efficient and accurate coder.
• Adept problem solver.
• Excellent database management skill
