Summary:
Operates cameras and uptake probes to measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas to obtain information for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses; may prepare doses and inject patients as needed; performs quality control on equipment and machinery; prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.

The schedule for this position would be 12:00pm through 8:30pm Monday through Friday with the potential for Saturday work.

The starting salary for this position is $84,571 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the State of New York.
2. Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
2. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have certification as a CT Technologist and one year of experience in PET/CT imaging.
